2005 - Zak Best started his motorsport journey at the very young age of 4 years old. Learnt to drive a go kart sitting on his sister's knee. Raced go karts from age 7, competing at club, state and national level in Midget / Cadets, Rookies and Junior Classes. Obtained his CAMS licence and moved into car racing at 14 years of age.
2016 - Aussie Racing Car (ARC) Championship. Competing in Euro GT Mercedes Benz.
Rookie Class 2nd outright (out of 31 drivers) in the series.
12th outright (out of 60 drivers) in the series.
Youngest ever to compete in ARC.
Youngest ever to win a race in ARC - Phillip Island.
Awarded the John Bowe Rising Star Award
